as many of you know George Floyd was a black man murdered by a police officer. He was unarmed and initially restrained for a nonviolent crime. Say his name. Share this information. If you have friends and family who are privileged enough to “stay away from this kind of news” then take that fucking privilege away. Uplift the voices of black members of your community voicing their fear or outrage or grief. 👉🏼👉🏼Text “FLOYD” to 55156👈🏼👈🏼 and sign the petition seeking justice. The officers in question have been terminated and given paid leave. This is not sufficient punishment for murder. Május 30-án mindenesetre West Hollywood utcáit koptatták együtt, hogy - civilként - a rasszizmus ellen lépjenek fel. Mindketten sötét ruhát viseltek, Yungblud pólóján a Black Lives Matter-üzenettel.

Twitteren számolt be a new jersey-i illetőségű díva a tapasztalatokról:

Gumilövedékekkel vettek célba minket. Nem léptük át a vonalat. A kezünket magasra tartottuk. Meg se moccantunk, és mégis jött a gáz meg a gólyózápor.

Majd hozzátette, hogy nem tartóztatták le, de nem is provokálták a rendőröket. Ám sok protestáló nincs biztonságban, akik érdekében az énekesnő támogatást kér: alapítványokat javasol, melyeken keresztül segíthetünk.

Már márciusban úgy tűnt, hogy Halsey újra összejön a brit énekessel, miután a 33 éves színész pasijával, Evan Petersszel befejezték, teszi hozzá a usmagazine.
