És ami a legcukibb: hogy ne ijessze meg a gazdi, az alvó kutyus orrához érinti kezét, és a kutyus a szagmintától rögtön ébred ébred és reagál.

Maybe this is a little tmi... 🤐 but I get asked about potty training with Maisie a lot! . Miss Mais is fully potty trained and knows to go outside. She uses scents and textures to tell the difference, as well as context. Her favorite place to go is on grass, but also could go on dirt, sand, etc depending on where our adventure was! 😆 . Potty training a deaf & blind puppy was a lot like training any other puppy or dog. It’s all about giving them lots and lots of opportunities to succeed— by taking them outside a LOT. . After naps, sleeping, eating, playing, or any sort of burst of energy; it was time to take her out to some grass and walk around until she pottied. . Once she went- REWARD! (And repeat) The reward happens in the form of food or play, and Mais responds really well to play. Little puppy Mais caught on as quickly as any other pup I’ve worked with on potty training. Puppy’s are work, no matter if they can see, hear, or have a very powerful nose. 😉 . Sleepy puppies. 😊 . I guess I should’ve specified in yesterday’s post, but yes! Miss Bailey is still with us. 😘 Yesterday’s off-leash dog beach fun had the potential of being too much for her, and I didn’t want to risk all of her progress for that. .
